Abigail Hing Wen is an AI thought leader, international public speaker, multibillion dollar deal negotiator and New York Times best selling author. Abigail is the Partnership on AI’s Co-Chair for the Expert Group on Fairness, Transparency and Accountability and sits on their Transparency in Machine Learning Steering Committee. Her writing on AI have appeared in Fortune and Forbes. She speaks on AI, venture capital, diversity and leadership in international venues and has been profiled in media/TV in Entertainment Weekly, NBCNews, Bloomberg, Google Talk and the World Journal. Abigail served as Senior Director of Emerging AI Tech, Office of the CTO, Artificial Intelligence Platforms Group, Intel Corporation, and previously as legal lead for Intel Capital’s AI investments and strategic transactions, closing deals ranging from seed funding to $4.1B in ASML. She worked on $9B+ deals on Wall Street, with clients including Goldman Sachs and the World Bank. Abigail is the New York Times best-selling author of the novel, Loveboat, Taipei, a romantic comedy from HarperCollins addressing issues of identity and the immigrant experience. Her novel is being adapted for film in Hollywood, for which she is serving as an Executive Producer. She is working on a sequel addressing women in AI, forthcoming October 2021. She holds a BA magna cum laude from Harvard in Government/International Relations and JD from Columbia Law School. Prior to Intel, she practiced law at Sullivan & Cromwell and Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher, clerked on the United States Court of Appeals for the DC Circuit and worked in the Senate Judiciary Committee.
